Ok Japanese Food This place is a pretty decent Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere fits a Japanese atmosphere. However, the portions are not that large compared to other places. But, overall the food is good.
Zono Sushi is as good as it gets in Burbank Not many places to go for Japanese food in Burbank so this is where we usually end up. Zono has a little bit of everything and the combination dinners will fill you up. Typical Japanese fare. Service can be very slow. The whole family can find something they will eat here.
one of my favorites for the last 6 yrs... If you visit this place, ask for Shinji - chief, and seat at the bar only. In the sushi plase it is a MUST to seat at the bar. The quality of sushi is much better that way!!! If you are lucky, and Shinji is there, tell him to make something spetial for you, you will not be dissapointed. they offer great Monk fish liver sashimi. PROS: new owner, do not know, how it will affect sishi itself. CONS: fish is very fresh, not refrigerated, happy hour Mn-Thrsd, from 5.30-7pm
Love this place. The service is always great. My 3 and 5 year old love the food. Even if you don't like sushi they have tons of other food to choose from. I have been going here for almost 20 years since when I was in high school.
Friendly service. Sushi and combos are pretty good. More relaxing evironment, not as busy and noisy as some other local sushi places. Happy hour prices until 8pm.
