This popular southwestern grill continually rates as one of the city's top spots; the open dining room swings with its array of dishes and energy for a strip mall restaurant. Exposed brick walls display tasteful paintings, and large windows offer views of the Flatirons. Dinner delights include the tasty Steak Carbón and the Stacked Wild Mushroom Enchilada, both created with local and organic vegetables. A covered, heated patio is open year round and available for private parties.

We had a wonderful experience at Zolo. The food is excellent and creative. Our server was great and very helpful. We had the queso fundido with chorizo. The Red Pepper Jam was so good, we asked for a sample to bring home. We both had the Tilapia Tacos which were very good. The dessert was a take home piece of the Tres Leche cake. I know they are trying to be creative, but they should have left the traditional cake alone. Zolo is a bit overpriced, but a great experience if you want to take someone out on a special date. Terrible Lunch – We had lunch here for the first time. The food was terrible. The duck nachos were overpowered with cheese, the tortilla soup was too watery and sour, and the wild mushroom tamales sounded great, but really just didn't taste good. The service was great; however, the waiter forgot to substitute the bacon-beans for non-bacon-beans in the duck nachos, so not everyone at the table could try them. With so many other Mexican food options in Boulder, I would not go back.
Great lunch menu – I have only been at lunch, but it's great. The service is always prompt and the food always is great!
Editorial Review – Casual Southwestern eatery combines Mexican, Native American and New World cuisine; made-to-order guacamole and over 80 tequilas, patio dining.
ZOLO is Amazing!! – A funky flair of authentic mexican, southwest, and new world cuisine. The crab cakes were excellent and the caeser dressing had an amazing southwest kick. I highly recommend the Hanger steak (They only serve all natural - hormone free- meat) and the seared tuna. I don't even like encheladas and I couldn't get enough! I've been back many times to try different entrees and the salmon on cedar plank is my favorite. The Zolorita is out of this world and they have an amazing selection of premium tequilas. Zolo is deeee-lish! – This funky southwestern-style restaurant deserves applause. All six people at my table loved the food they ordered. From the crab cakes and salsa sampler appetizers to the dreamy seared tuna and impressive salmon (served creatively on a long plank instead of a plate), we decided it was one of the best and most memorable meals we've had in Boulder. AND our waiter knew the menu upside and down. I can't wait to go back in warm weather and enjoy their patio!
