This is a center that focuses on trying to provide only one point of view. The view that if you are pregnant, you have your baby. They will not properly talk about the risk factors of pregnancy or discuss all options you are legally allowed to consider in the state of Maine. This is an anti-abortion center, not a medical facility. They will dazzle you with free blankets and talk to you about how nice it is to keep your baby. I'm guessing the negative reviews are people who have never gone to Zoe or talked to them about what they offer and how they operate. They have trained professionals as they have mentioned in previous responses and strive to create the safest space possible for women and families without coercion or pressure. I know firsthand as a former volunteer who went through hours of classes to make sure we never break confidentiality or make clients feel uncomfortable in any way.

I'm not sure what the negative reviews about this not being a health care center are about. This is not a planned parenthood type reproductive heath center, this is a community resource center. The Zoe Center is a pregnancy and parenthood resource center. They are not going to help you get an abortion, as they are not equiped to, but they will help take care of your needs after having an abortion if you need. Beware: this center employs no MDs, DOs, PAs, or NPs. They are not subject to HIPAA and therefore your information is not safe with them.
