FANTASTIC RESTAURANT – Zio's was much better than any other Italian restaurant I've tried in the area. The food had a taste I've never tasted anywhere else. And our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. If you do get sub-par service, remember that you're in New Mexico. It's the third most impoverished state in the country. If you think the employee pool here is going to be anywhere close to good, think again.
Birthday Bash to Birthday Bomb – It would take too long to go into detail, but while the staff was friendly, the service wasn't good, the food was only okay, and the wait for the food after ordering was terrible. There is a more detailed account on my blog.
A BRAND NEW FAVORITE (Are they keeping this place a secret??) – Well, it took more than one visit to be sure we liked it - and boy! Did we ever! Not very good... – I have mixed feelings about Zio's, but for the most part, my wife and I were not impressed. I had the Pepperoni Chicken calzone, which was actually quite good. The calzone came with whatever pasta I wanted as a side - I chose fettuccine alfredo. The alfredo sauce was worse than the alfredo in most microwaveable meals I've had - no seasoning at all, just plain white sauce. It was very bland. experince at Zio's – They have wine glasses on the table with candles. The Ambience is a great family feeling. The food is great, cooked right there for you to see. Over all great time.
NOT impressed – The whole place seemed to be run by high school students, and the food seemed like it was straight out of a freezer (at least they took the time to heat it up!). My wife and I were not impressed by the atmosphere, the service, the value, or the food!
