I had my boat hauled out washed, bottom painted, prop and running gear painted, waxed, and new zincs. Very reasonable prices. I was pleased with the quality.
I have recently had the pleasure of doing business with Zimmerman for some custom work. It’s a relatively small project. I’m sure I’ll leave out a worthy name or two but the staff at this location is amazing and their expertise is unmatched. The former Deaton’s Yacht Service, but still with several of the pro’s who worked with John Deaton. If there’s a substantially more talented group between Bar Harbor and Key West, it’d be big news to me and other ICW voyagers. I have more experience with Zimmerman Marine in Matthews, VA, but this group in Oriental is in the same league.
They did what I requested in a timely manner and did a good job. Overall well satisfied.
We arrived in Oriental on a Wednesday and noticed a leak in our rudder system. We immediately contacted Zimmerman Marine for assistance. Remarkably, within an hour, a mechanic named Jim arrived to assess the situation. He informed us that someone would follow up with a quote, and true to their word, Jason called within an hour with the estimate and schedule.
