When my wife and I were getting engaged way back in 1979, we were walking around New Hope and wandered into Zikos Jewelers. We were greeted by George who was so friendly and eager to help us. Yelp confirms our experience. Yelp has a 2.6 rating. You have to knock to enter, and when we did, the owner opened the door only to literally shoo us away. My partner and I are in our 30s, with two disposable incomes and no kids — we came ready to spend. Reading through the many other low reviews, there’s a clear theme: the owner prejudges customers based on age or appearance instead of offering basic courtesy. Plenty of jewelers welcome customers; this one just waves them away.
Beautiful pieces in this store from Georgios, a very talented designer! Love coming to visit and seeing the master craftsmanship.
Georgios is an artist and perfectionist and there’s nowhere else I would’ve gone for my engagement ring than Zikos Jewelers!
