I came to Zia in September, after an experience with another treatment center and I really had no idea what to expect. From the very first phone call, I felt safe and comfortable. I would caution anyone who may be considering this facility for addiction treatment. In my opinion their practices are DANGEROUS and DO NOT consider the vulnerability & holistic needs of the population they are working with. My family member went to this program & her rights were unacknowledged & summarily violated, specific to the Privacy Act portion of HIPPA. For instance a therapist conducted group Biopsychosocialspiritual Assessments during my family members stay in detox to "save time". These assessments are NEVER to be... read more
I had an amazing experience with Zia recovery. I was broken and beaten down when I came in and I left feeling better than I ever have. All staff is amazing and actually cares about your well being. They are not just their for a paycheck and that speaks volumes. Thank you for helping me back on my feet again.
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the facilities for the first phase called detox. The home like facility was actually more of a mansion. I couldn't believe someone would provide such beautiful accommodation for me. This made me feel like I really mattered. I was allowed to rest with the help of medication for the first 48 hours.
