Food 5/10 . Server 5/10 manager competence was saving grace: I think this is a situation where a competent manager (blonde works at bar) isn’t given the tools needed to make Zest what it could be. I hope they get the tools needed to succeed bc the location has a lot to offer.
Dreadfully slow. Disorganized. Messy. I'm sorry to report this place is seriously lacking in leadership. Servers are very! nice and hard working. However, the entire place is a poorly managed restaurant. Extremely long wait times for just our first drink order to arrive, like 20+ minutes. My friend finished eating before her first beer arrived. Took 45 min to get the final check while seniors waited patiently in line for a table. Had a great experience at Zest! Cocktails were well made. I would definitely recommend the roasted cauliflower as an appetizer. We had a sausage pizza and the wild mushroom linguine. Both were excellent. Cozy dining in the heart of downtown. Our server was welcoming and attentive. Will return for sure!
Great food and amazing service, reminded me of how restaurants used to be!
