Being in D.j. near the coast can be texting on equipment. The mix of sand and salt in the air can be quite corrosive to electronics. I’ve been using the same speakers for 17 years because I routinely take them to the Speaker Doctor to get maintained and cleaned.His prices are competitive and his service is exceptional. The lifespan of my speakers are a testament to that.

Ruined a subwoofer that I brought in for a foam replacement. He gave it back to me refoamed,but it also had an extra dust cap on it. I thought it was just a visual addition, but the speaker didn’t sound like it used too. I removed dust cap to find that he had cut a hole in my speaker and added this cap on top. Don’t go here for anything.
I have a pair of Bose 501 speakers that are approximately 45-50 years old & I have always loved them. Recently, 1 of them quit working. I called a couple of repair services and they wanted $80+ just for the diagnostics. I came across the Speaker Doctor & he actually told me a couple of things to try before bringing it to him. Nothing worked, so I knew the speaker was "dead". He charged me $105 for the diagnostics and parts & labor. It sounds just as awesome as ever.
