I recently visited this location for a massage. The massage itself was decent, but the overall experience was quite basic, no music, no heated bed, and little atmosphere to help with relaxation. The language barrier was very difficult too, although that doesn’t bother me. What really stood out, unfortunately, was the request for a higher tip even though I had already paid in cash and provided a 20% tip (also in cash) which I consider more than fair. A few weeks ago, I had an amazing and professional deep massage with Lily; she had great technique and intuition. However, she's no longer there...so when I booked again today, I was with another massage therapist... but she did not tell me her name. Unfortunately, today's deep tissue massage was really disappointing. Want to go to the best massage place in southern Maine? Go to the Zen Spa. I have an issue with my left shoulder and right knee and hip, and the pain is now GONE! They will ask if you want hard pressure, and I opted for medium in general and hard for my painful shoulder. Very nice massage and tranquil ambiance. Ladies give strong thorough massage. 20% mandatory tipping rule is a bit odd, be mindful of that. We decided to stop by this place when we took a summer trip to Maine. Will go back if I am in the area just cuz it’s hard to find the professional masseuses especially when you’re on a vacation.
