Had to cancel due to a bad unexpected snow storm. Not willing to apply my deposit to another retreat. Not to Zen of you folks!
Love ZMM so much. My husband and I visited the monastery on several occasions before getting married as a way to anchor our union with the Zen practice we learned during a weekend retreat. The Sunday sessions are so perfect with a beautiful Sangha energy. We will be renewing our practice and sitting again in Mt. Tremper this Autumn. Peace and Love.
I visited the monastery in May 2001 and was deeply impressed by the strength, joy and compassion of teachers and monks. They have a pure and original vision of Zen.
We went for the Sunday morning intro session and got a bonus. There was a remembrance ceremony and ordination as well. The gift shop was wonderful as usual.
What a beautiful place, physically and spiritually. These people are not pretentious, not weird, just sincerely, gently and wholeheartedly living their quest. Very inspiring!
