I am beyond frustrated with Zazen Medical and Wellness group. There is a complete lack of patient support and follow-up. When I am speaking to the actual doctor, I feel heard and seen. However, the rest of the staff that works there is unorganized and lacks any patient empathy. I have literally be tossed between the Medical Group and Wellness side with testing and follow-up appointments. Been told the wrong information multiple times. Dr. Asamoah is just the best gastroenterologist around. She continually follows new research and treatment plans for IBD, makes changes to treatment accordingly, and even shares relevant studies with me. She is conservative when she needs to be, and aggressive when she needs to be, depending on disease progression/status and the issue at hand. I had an appointment here with Dr. Tamerisa and I have to be honest- the wait time is horrendous, but upon being brought to the room I was greeted with a warm and welcome smile from her MA Amber. Amber was very professional, courteous, showed so much empathy for my situation. She was very knowledgeable and made my visit less anxious. I absolutely hate going to doctors offices but I think if any office had an person like Amber, I think the fear of anxiety would go away.
