We had a great dinner at Zaza Japan. The sushi was fresh, the hibachi chef was entertaining, and the portions were generous. Our server was friendly and checked on us throughout the meal without being overbearing. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere for a family dinner. We especially enjoyed the hibachi steak and the specialty rolls. Prices were fair for the quality and amount of food. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

A misleading hibachi and sushi establishment marred by inflated pricing, drastically undersized protein servings and low-quality fried appetizers. All white-flesh sashimi lacked sufficient refrigeration ice, yielding a mild fermented sour taste. I was so hyped for group hibachi night with friends and left totally defeated lmao. Filet slices are paper thin, every single roll is loaded with stale rice to save on seafood. Spring rolls taste nasty bitter from old fry oil, and they hit small two-person tables with auto tips too. I waited 35 minutes alone while delivery orders flew out nonstop, staff brushed off my complaint about sour sashimi like it didn’t matter at all. Save your meal budget and hit the sushi spot further down Jericho Turnpike instead.

Y’all skip Zaza Japan fr, total cash grab with sad tiny portions n rank fried apps. Non-salmon sashimi sits out on thin ice so it tastes faintly sour, every maki roll stuffed with stale rice to cut cost. They auto add gratuity without even asking, chefs scroll cell phones bare-handed handling raw fish right next to moldy produce. Dropped nearly $40 on a bland hibachi platter full of cheap veggies, never stepping foot in here again.
