I had left breast reduction surgery to match the right breast that had a lumpectomy. Dr Zavitsanos did a marvelous job in matching the size of the breast, the location of the nipple, and the scarring is already mostly done after 3 months. The surgery was not that big an ordeal. It was outpatient and the recovery was not very painful. I recommend the procedure to other breast cancer patients as my quality of life is improved by not having to compensate for two very different sized breasts.
Dr Zavitsanos and his staff are making my journey through breast cancer reconstruction as smooth as one could hope. At age 80, I found I had breast cancer for the third time😱. I was appalled and terrified. I seemed to get it every 10 years whether I wanted it or not🥴. Dr Zavitsanos was recommended by my cancer surgeon, Dr Ho Pak, and he stepped right up and from the initial surgery with Dr Pak, Dr Zavitsanos has been on top of my reconstruction. Great doctor with a great staff.
3/4ish Year Update, Post-Experience with Dr. Zavitsanos. I was in a hurry to get a breast reduction before I turned 26 so I would be able to get coverage under my parent's much better insurance. I was 25 at the time. They were able to get insurance to help cover the charges due to all the medical evidence I provided. The nurses and desk staff were amazing. However, Dr. Z? I am very satisfied with the result after my mastectomy with reconstruction. We decided to do it in two stages to achieve the best result. To say that the work is perfect is an understatement — the doctor is truly gifted! I recommend them 100% — you will be very happy to have chosen this plastic surgeon!
