The owners are the nicest people. Brothers that work incredibly hard since they opened the business. The food is always good. However their staff to this day have NEVER gotten my order right. Not once. For years I just ate whatever I got and didn't complain. Recently I had a long talk with the owner and he told me to let him know if the order was wrong in the future. I’m from NY but live out of state and I went to this deli. The staff are extremely kind and the food was amazing. I ordered bagels for our family and it was so good I placed another order to bring the back home with me. Every New Yorker knows most states don’t make a bagel like New York. I highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. There are a few other delis around here this one is by far the best.

If you are looking for quality and truly fresh food in the Selden area, you must stop by. Everything at Zara Deli and Bagel is genuinely fresh and prepared with care. I had a simple sesame bagel with butter, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff is also extremely friendly and attentive. Thank you for everything—this has become one of my favorite spots!
