After living in a home built using Zap Electric, we would never ever hire them by choice. They picked their name well, though-- I get zapped 95% of the time when I touch any of our light switches. Within a year of moving in, we had quite a few issues with their work. After asking around the neighborhood, we learned a ton of the homes they set up electric for have as well. I have to assume the 5 star reviews are friends/family, especially since they have so few.

One of their vans cut me off in while I was on my bike ride. Then when we both had stopped the driver proceeded to yell at me telling me if you want to be like a car, to drive one. If you want someone that cares about people, community, and on job professionalism my experience today with one of their employees shows that these aren't your guy's. Pretty bold to chew someone out after you've just almost hit them with your van.

I am almost done building my home. I have to say that Zap Electric is my favorite contractor to work with during the whole building process. Their prices are fair, their workmanship is superb and they always answer the phone when I call with a question. I highly recommend Zao Electric for all of your electrical needs. These guys even clean up after themselves! Thank you, Don and Christer for a pleasant experience.
