absolutely mortified. the manager was never there, just a group of teenagers left to run the store on their own, who i honestly felt bad for. they were on their phones at the literal cash register. i bought a bracelet for my partner and after only two wears the magnet on the clasp had worn off. since it was still within the return period, i went back to the store and politely asked if i could get a refund or exchange because it was clearly faulty. the girl working said she needed to take it out the back to get it “assessed,”... read more

I had a horrible experience in Zamels Belconnen, ACT on 8th April 2025. Usually my go to jewellery shop, this time though the customer service people were rude, dismissive & lacked product & promotion knowledge. They were lounging around on their phones & seemed annoyed to actually deal with customers. When asked about a product, they didn’t seem to know whether it was a catalogue item or on a special price. Visited the store 08/02/25, the saleswoman working wasn’t very friendly and gave off the vibe that she didn’t want to be there. I asked to see a particular item that I had seen on the website, and without checking she said “we don’t have it”. I could see items that were similar to what I was looking for but she was very off putting, so I decided to leave. I don’t see how this store makes any money.
Good service and a good range of practical jewellery items from this national chain store. Will come again.
