The person in charge of the oven was closing the oven doors with their feet, and the person preparing the pizzas was scratching their private parts. I had to ask for my pizza to be remade because it was badly burnt. The establishment was extremely dirty; the ceiling is in urgent need of maintenance, and the staff needs training on how to interact with customers and handle food. We always bought pizza from Brother’s Pizza in McKinney but they closed up and we had been looking for NY style pizza that is good ever since. Zalat is that and then some. We’ve gone more than a handful of times now. Always great. Would love to see Dave Portnoy’s ‘One Bite’ review of Zalat as I’ve been to a lot of the places he’s reviewed and given 8.5+ reviews to and they aren’t as good or any better than Zalat.
