Zaika’s setting and decor is fabulous. However, the food seemed slightly above what you would get in Indian restaurants. I wonder whether the chef has changed. The food that we got wasn’t worth the £58.40 per head that it came to. And the service wasn’t that great. Our table didn’t get cleared after we had finished and I had to ask for it to be cleared. One of my favorite restaurants.
We visit this restaurant regularly as a family and were very surprised with the rude customer service experience today on the phone. We rang to book a table for tomorrow. The lady was very rude, obnoxious and unhelpful. All she could do was direct my husband to the website rather than answering the questions about their menu over the phone. He then told her if she was our staff she would definitely be retrained or laid off after which she said okay and the phone was hung on up on us! Will not be visiting here again.
