About this business

We fix old ones and new ones, cameras that use just about any film size. We often fix brands and models nobody else will touch, and if we can't get the parts, sometimes we can make 'em. We will even fix accessories like lenses, motor drives and film magazines most of the time. We also transfer audio and video from tape and disc to CD or DVD.

Arrogant and incompetent. Believes we owe him a living. Go to another shop that will get your repair done right for less cost and a lot less attitude and hassle from the owner.

Zacks is a gem! What other camera repair outfit are you gonna bring a vintage Graflex press camera in for repair and NOT have the proprietor look at you like you have two heads and a third testicle? Mike Zacks was knowledgeable, knew exactly what to do and quoted an exceptionally fair price. His knowledge of vintage cameras is immense. This is the only place I will trust to repair my equipment.

The 35 millimeter roll of film was first used for moving pictures, coming in a giant spool that was threaded through the video camera to record movement. Soon after it was used in movies, the 35 millimeter film was made for cameras.

A little dust in the lens won't affect photo quality. However, a buildup of dust over time can result in hazy, blurred, or spotty images. Dust may also eventually work down into the gears, causing real damage.
