Dr. Tan was in charge of the Emergency room when I went to the NYU Ambulatory Center at 70 Atlantic Ave, in Brooklyn NY on Aug. 28, 2024. I only had an allergy-caused sinus congestion and earache, but Dr Zachary . Tan had a nurse insert an IV needle without my knowledge or consent. I had only given consent for a routine blood test. Because of the I needle insertion, I could not just not walk out of the emergency room. I never needed nor received IV fluids. I had one complete knee replacement done in May 1, 2024 . All went well I hope to get scheduled first part of August for the other knee.
Dr. Tan performed a knee surgery on me on Friday, May 2nd, 2024 by making a 4” incision vertically along my patella to treat a left knee infection with septic bursitis. He did not follow up with me once after surgery nor did he give adequate post-op care instructions. The entirety of his post-op notes can be found in the attached picture.
