He was paid at closing for my house, and no retainer ever. He often tells people I will do things I did not agree to so much that I have to warn them in advance, he steps on my toes in deals making his own repair requests instead of mine, and clearly does not always fully read contracts. This messed up some deals for me. He helps with anything but talks about his ex when I really need legal advice and am short on time. Then he says he should charge for that time.
