I debated leaving this review because I hate to be confrontational but two times is too many. This is the second time I’ve been turned away at the door when I’m on time ready to get on the bike but because it’s 15 seconds after the door closes, I’m legitimately denied service. I understand it’s safety rules or whatever (not that they make it any brighter or easier to navigate before class starts so it barely makes sense). I wish I could give 10 stars! Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, and the classes are challenging and a total blast!
Great motivators, music and a high intensity workout! This space is very inclusive, doesn't matter your age, weight or orientation. Loads of different instructors to try all with varying music playlists. The entire vibe of the studio is excellent from front desk staff to the spin room and change rooms. People here genuinely care about their community and it shows. I've been going on and off for a decade now and coming back always feels like coming to a second home.
I have been to YYC cycle about 2 and a half times now, and unfortunately I've come to learn that Spin at this studio just isn't for beginners. The first time I went, a couple months ago, I came with a friend, showed up 15 minutes early and identified myself as a beginner. While I expected the instructor to introduce herself, this never occured, leaving my friend to hastily tell me something about hand positions (?) and numbers (?) and hovering (???) while the instructor chatted with other indviduals.
