Let me preface this by saying two things: my experiences here are very limited. I was only able to visit the YWCA a small number of times as part of a short program I was involved in. Secondly, I am sure the YWCA has many positive programs and makes many contributions to the community. I will only be reviewing the treatment I received by the staff I encountered in my visits here. I've gone here for services. The people are amazing. They kindness goes beyond the expectation of their "job title". They really do have your best interest in mind
I almost put my 4 year old in the daycare. When I went to do the tour I had a bad feeling in my stomach about it. I don't like how secluded the kids are and how you have to go through an elevator to the top floor to get your child and how dingy and dark it felt there. I also don't agree with kids going for walks around downtown area with all the homeless people walking around and doing drugs hanging around the parks.
