I stayed at the YWCA on the 3rd floor (which is the Liberty House) from March 2024-Oct 2024. Under the supervision of Jennifer Swanson who was the Liberty House coordinator at the time & my case manager. I resided at the Y with my daughter for over a year. The first half of my time there was decent staff that strived to help you to be your best self. Then it went all downhill FAST! There is staff that do NOTHING to get to know each individual in order to even direct them to the resources that would be beneficial for them. They do nothing to hold people accountable for the filth and feces that are ALL OVER the bathroom and the filth in the kitchen that caused cockroaches. There’s also bed bugs. Im sure it is a great place to get in our if the warm but if you are going to do this, you NEED to have someone available weekends who can accept donations. Just because I have donations doesn't mean I can afford to take a day off work to come there and drop my donations off. You NEED availability on weekends.
