This review is in no way a reflection of the Dr. but a reflection of Ascension/NCH processes. Our healthcare system is absolutely so broken and NCH/Ascension very much contributes to that. My husband and I have gone to Alexian or Northwestern in an attempt to receive better care. We are close to done with NCH/Ascension or whatever Northwest Community Hospital & Doctors are now. Dr. Yan is great !! She is intelligent , thorough and a wonderful listener . She makes me feel comfortable and is empathetic and cares . I have had to switch primary care doctors several times due to providers lacking good bedside manners and just mean . To be exact six times 🥺🥺. Those providers showed no caring . Scheduled an appointment and waited 6+ months for a new patient appointment as I needed an MD PCP. I called the day before the appointment because nobody had contacted me to confirm the appointment. When I called in, I was told that some receptionist named Maria canceled my appointment in late October. I never canceled, nor did I receive any form of notice regarding her cancelation.
