What an INCREDIBLE DOCTOR!!! My father has gone to Dr. Yu for a few years and she is thorough, compassionate and explains everything so well. I researched endocrinologists across Long Island and she truly is THE BEST!
I have been using Dr YU for about 4 years, and I am surprised to see these negative reviews - I have a great relationship with the office staff ( Ana included ) and with Dr YU. My diabetes has never been in better control, and they handle every request ( and I have a lot) for me, and if you don't get along with this office and Dr Yu, I will say I am just surprised. It is not my experience. Dr. Yu requires appointments every 3 months with blood work, but that's a good thing.
This Dr should not be anybody you go to for any endocrinology reason. This doctor sent me to the hospital for a possible thyroid issue. I put all of my records the night of the ER visit in the portal. She never called the next day to see how I was, never responded to anything in the portal. I had an appointment unrelated to the hospital a week later, which I canceled since the doctor never called me after she sent me to the hospital or responded to my message the night of the er visit in my portal . I have been a patient of Dr. Yu’s for over a decade! I found her when I lived in Queens and still drive almost an hour to see her after we moved. She is truly wonderful. She answers all my questions, is knowledgeable, professional, compassionate- everything you’d want in a physician. Ana is always accommodating on the phone if I need anything and the new office location (in the same building) is spotless and easy to get to. Highly recommend.
