I went here from January 16 to the start of March 2024 it was the worst 2 months we had to sleep on stained beds they treated us bad the food was good tho but we only got to shower for 10 minutes I ran away a lot of times cause I got tired of being mistreated one of the staff also hit the kids and they would snatch the blanket off me csb sent me here
I hope this place is getting investigated this place needs to be shut down I feel so sorry for the kids that are there And when the kids run away they don't care. They don't look for them And then the ones that do come back at like midnight 1:00 in the morning they don't do nothing And then the kids are able to do it again the next day 😬 very sad. I would just do your research and read the reviews. They will explain everything. This company is pretty shady.
I spent exactly a year and two weeks in YIS. I watched the “girls side” be built from a hole in the ground up, I transitioned from the old to the new. All of the kids I met, lived with, shared a table with, had behavioral issues due to trauma, and abuse. Rather than focusing on healing the trauma that was the cause of these behaviors..
