I was going through benzo and alcohol withdrawal my first night there. I stayed respectful with staff the entire time. The next day, because I didn’t feel physically safe going onto the main floor while withdrawing, they threatened to take my mattress and blankets. That felt unnecessary and honestly cruel given the situation. One staff member actually listened and treated me like a human being, and I’m grateful for that. But overall, the response to someone clearly dealing with withdrawal was disappointing and concerning.

I was only in there for a week and they didn't supply with basic human needs like toilet paper and soap, in the shower you only get about a gumball sized amount of shampoo that they tell you to divide between your ENTIRE body including your hair. They didn't give me a bra or any socks and the blankets were too thin to do anything at all. And they have male staff who will LOOK IN the door windows at night and watch you use the bathroom. My son is here getting his GED done in order to leave!! He can do it I know he can. I have so much confidence in him!
