Funeral homes such as Youngs that put familys through additional difficulty on top of the sorrow they are experiencing are not worthy of receiving our business. Ashes can and should be sent forthwith without delay. To make matters worse he charged for the service of mailing the ashes but just ignored his duty and responsibility. If you have to go to the Funeral Board to get a funeral home to do what they have been paid to do then do NOT do business with them. Mr. Young promised me and my 82 year old mother that my brothers ashes would be delivered to our Rhode Island home by July 28. We are still waiting and its August 10. I have called him two times and both times he said he was going to do it right away. This after receiving payment immediately and charging \$80 to bring the ashes to the post office. If I were you Id find another funeral home before selecting Youngs. We finally received our ashes after contacting the Florida Funeral Directors Association. They had to call him a... read more
