Great Chef, Waiter and Food Went to yoshidas last night for my birthday. I have always went to yoshidas once or twice a year for the past 15 years. But last night was the best experience I've ever had there. The waiter was great! He was very attentive, social and came to the table every 15 minutes to check on us (I wish i could remember is name). Benihana clone – From the name Yoshida Japanese Steak House, I assumed (incorrectly) that this would be a fine steak restaurant with a Japanese twist. It's nothing of the sort. It's a family style restaurant where people sit around a grill and the chef cooks for everyone. If you like Benihana, you'll like this restaurant. The food is consistent, but far from gourmet.

Always good! Every time I have been, the service is fantastic, and the food is always cooked perfectly. The sushi isn't bad, either. I recommend trying it. I have been to other Japanese steakhouses in Asheville, and this is my favorite.

Excellent Dining, Great Atmosphere! If you have never been here, go! Call in advance for reservations if possible, but they will accomodate you without them. The food is the best around, the staff is great, and the price is not too high.
