We had a great time riding the trolley with our grandsons (3 and 6 years of age). The trolley itself is nicely decorated with plenty of wood paneling, brass poles & hardware, and leather straps, giving it a late nineteenth, early twentieth century, vibe. The driver (Mickie) was very nice, filling us in on some of the local sites (she recommended the Yorktown Pub, which turned out to be a real winner). And, perhaps best of all, IT'S FREE!!! Fun tour of Historic Yorktown for my little one who loves trains, trolleys, automobiles and adventure. It is a free ride that tours daily. Driver was pleasant, ride relaxing.
Free trolley to all the historic points in Yorktown, VA.
This is publicized as handicap accessible. There is no way anyone that has impaired mobility can climb the stairs to enter the trolly. The steps are definitely higher than normal stairs to enter. I saw most normal people of age struggle and nearly fall attempting the stairs. We drove a distance so that we could see the historic Yorktown with two people that could not even board the trollies - I’m not only saddened by this but very upset that it made the people with low physical mobility feel they ruined it for the rest of th... read more
