I had a stent fitted a few weeks ago at York vascular unit , it was a complex procedure very difficult to get into my veins .Dr Durham and all his staff were all lovely A radiologist called David was so gentle and got my canula in without causing me pain , the nurses , care staff and porters were all smiling all the time they couldn't do enough for me, they all made me feel comfortable when I had gone in scared . I Would like to thank Dr Durham and all the staff for really looking after me . Thank you
Some staff are friendly and helpful, but most I have encountered either on the phone or face to face are not. It doesn't seem like they are bothered either way - they still get paid regardless. The reason I gave 2 stars (rather than 1) is because the rehab centre was good when I broke my ankle, but the maternity ward staff, xray staff and receptionists I have encountered, need retraining or replacing.
