I went to this school in the 2000s and my experience was really good. They helped me learn how to deal with social cues and how to believe more in myself, my teacher was Matt and he was the most caring and passionate person, I wonder if they still do the point system and hope they've helped a lot more kids.
I went to the York Centre in the 80's, and I miss Bob Upper. He was the child youth worker. He made it fun, and played the Game sorry and Uno with me and other students. :) :) I am wondering about these students that were in my class in the 80's. Dayle, Dale, Gord, Paul, Jason Kofeod. He was on my Facebook profile, I hope they all remember me. Lynn Taylor, Marg Taylor. Robbie Watson. I miss you all. :) :)
Defund this place. Highly biased in who they help/accept. Poorly run. The intake staff show no compassion or understanding. They have determined you are not a fit before you can even meet with them. My second experience with York Hills and they do not fail to disappoint. They really should be defunding. I do not approve of my tax $$ supporting such a place.
This place helped me out when I was younger early 2000s I went. Teachers and workings help you with all your issues. Glad to see it is still helping
pretty sure this place left me with lifelong trauma. but hey, details.
