As an older athlete coming from years of CrossFit, I was starting to feel like I was one workout away from an injury. Finding YCB a year and a half ago completely changed that for me. Stephen has not only helped me get stronger, he’s taught me how to take care of my body. I’ve learned how important mobility, stretching, and moving well really are, and he’s helped correct so many bad habits I had built over the years. The aches and pains I thought were just part of getting older have improved more than I ever expected. What m... read more

I’m 65 and joined York County Barbell over a year ago, and I work out with men and women of all different ages. After bariatric surgery and loss of muscle mass, I was encouraged by my provider to seek out strength training. I found York County Barbell and it has been a game changer! Stephen's coaching met me at my level of fitness (the most basic) in a systematic progression with great thought and care. Great community of people! Highly recommend!!

York County Barbell is a legit weightlifting gym! I moved to Rochester, NH from Nebraska and Stephen and the community here has made me feel so welcomed to the area. The environment during a training session is unbeatable. You also won't find better Olympic weightlifting coaching, powerlifting or just general fitness instruction in the area. There's a wonderful team here and a great opportunity!

Try it , you will love the personal training you'll get! Steve is a stickler about proper form and can really help you get strong... even if you have prior injuries.
