True Review: I do not recommend Yorba Linda Handyman based on my experience. I paid the full $375 requested for the shower valve repair, and the check was cashed the same day. During the attempted repair, the existing shower handle and extender were cut off, but the work was not completed. I purchased the replacement parts and repeatedly contacted him after they arrived, asking him to return and finish the repair. He ultimately told me to find someone else to complete the work. Do not call or email this person. John does illegal home repairs inside of people's homes. illegal home repairs are dangerous for children, families, and the city.

I called because I needed my garage entry door realigned. The screw holes were too big and worn out. I did the toothpick trick but it just continued to give out. I called John and he came out within an hour. He looked at it for 30 seconds and said “I can fix that!” I asked him how he was going to repair it and he simply said “ it’s a secret!” I asked him how long it would take and he said 1 hour or 30 minutes or maybe even 5 minutes. Do not call. Do not waste your time. Find a general contractor who can safely perform normal and safe home repair. No longer in business. This business does illegal work.

John does illegal home repairs on family's homes. He does not have a contractor's license for repairs that cost more than $500. A lot of his work is cash, under the table, and illegal because the damage costs more than $500.
