Amazing place! The food was beyond amazing, we especially loved the black cod truffle hand rolls (we got them three times each because of how good they tasted) - you taste the truffle butter so well and the fish is ‘cooked’ to perfection, the flavour addicting. We loved how they waited for us to finish each hand roll before bringing the next one so the seaweed wouldn’t be moist. The place itself is very nice and the waiters are super attentive. Big fan of Mr. Itani. Consistent, delicious, and I love the choose-your-own-adventure style. My favorites: Yonsei Oyster, Futomaki, Salmon, Zuke, Toro. My only request is a more robust wine selection.

This restaurant is now going to be on our regular rotation when we come over from the City to Berkeley Rep. The hand rolls are each unique and exquisite; the cocktails are inventive and enhanced w/Japanese touches; and our server couldn’t have been better — friendly and professional and enhanced our experience w/expertise as well as generosity. Well done! (Good value as well, especially for the quality.)
