A great stop if you're travelling between Hyden and Albany. The café service was great, and the staff were really friendly — they double as the local information hub and library for the town too, so it's a handy spot to stop, grab a bite, and get your bearings before continuing the trip. Well worth building into your route.
Lovely little centre with friendly and helpful staff. You can wander round the enclosure and get good views of these amazing birds. In wildflower season the bush walk will be amazing but very dry when we visited ( early August). Highly recommend a visit and the restaurant is very good too.
I really liked this place, A very informative centre for our beautiful Mallee Fowl species. They have 2 birds you can view and lots to see regarding habitat and their unique egg incubation.
