This physician has been dismissive since my initial appointment. I feel that due to my age, my concerns have not been taken serious. I know my body and have documented changes in my bone structure, but when I present this information to the doctor, he just brushes it off. I've asked Virginia Mason Franciscan Health to transfer to another rheumatologist I feel comfortable with and was told that they were "not taking second opinions." My condition is progressing. For my first visit, Dr. Zhu was thorough, informative, and caring. About a month after my first visit, I had a flare up and a biopsy was done on a skin lesion by a dermatologist. She explained that the pathology report indicated an underlying autoimmune disease and referred me back to the rheumatologist. Dr. Zhu's reaction to her referral was defensive and argumentative. Dr. Zhu is fantastic! He is very kind, helpful. Takes the time to answer questions and listens to you. The nurse took the time to make me feel comfortable about this appt. as it was the first time for me! Receptionist also very kind and helpful. Just a Great Staff!
