I needed a prescription filled and did not want to drive to Vacaville or Davis, so I gave them a shot. I called an hour after my doctor sent it over, and they said it was ready. I was the only customer inside and was in and out in 2 mins. I did a very quick consultation with the pharmacist as well. They don't have long hours like the bigger chains, but as long as you plan ahead, it works. I would recommend.
Some years back I made the switch from a big-box store pharmacy to this “Mom and Pops" one. I love to support small businesses and Yolo Pharmacy has always made me feel like a valued customer. Sadly, those days have come to an end. I take a vital medication that I cannot go without and was assured that it would be filled the next day. I know it’s the only pharmacy in town, but I am worried about the safety of their practices and the effect that could have on others in our community. The hours are unpredictable. The staff does not offer you a consultation with the pharmacist, but will answer all the HIPPA and consultation questions on the customer signature pad that yes you have been offered a consultation. This small town pharmacy has the best service of any pharmacy I’ve ever used. They know my name, my monthly prescriptions, and how to reach my doctor without ever asking me now. They text me when meds are ready, and call me if I forget to pick them up. They have never made a mistake, and that’s saying a lot. It’s a nice change of pace coming from a larger city where I had to wait 20-30 min in line, and then often have some kind of problem.
