We stopped in for a quick brunch on our way out of Chicago, and Yolk did not disappoint! I had the pork belly sandwich from their test kitchen menu, and it was one of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever had! My Americano was also super tasty, the espresso had a really nice strong, almost brown sugar flavor to it. I would recommend Yolk to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch.
6/22 my friend and I went for brunch. they ordered french toast which was a plentiful dish in size but lacked greatly in taste. It tasted of bread and syrup no, french toast flavor at all, however, it was dipped in an egg concoction of some sort being as though you could see the fried egg on the corners of the bread. This the ONLY reason I never order french toast from chain restaurants, the quality isn't there and I despise syrup & egg flavor together; especially when I'm supposed to be eating french toast...and yes I taste... read more
I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. I always come here specifically for the Red Velvet Stuffed French Toast, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available and no one informed me when I placed my order. When the food arrived, I immediately noticed it looked different. After taking a bite, I realized it wasn’t the same dish I was expecting, so I decided not to eat it.
