The Y should stay open on Saturdays until 5 pm. There are more people in there on Sat. after 3 than in the Y after 7 pm during the week. Check the computer and you will see that it's pretty busy on Sat. after 3. Last time I went on Sat. around 3:30 and there were 17 people in the Y. It seems the Y closes at times when members find it most convenient to work out. (Friday nights and Sat. afternoon). That's why some members have left the y and joined other gyms.
