I’m here in Charlotte on business and needed some relaxation and was told about this YMCA. I was pleasantly surprised. Very large, modern facility. They have a full parking deck across the street. Beautiful building. I was expedited through the guest services. Was directed to the women’s locker room that housed the whirlpool, sauna and steam room. The locker room was immaculate. Save your money, it’s the same thing any gym would have expect a couple things. It’s even worse if you have a kid, the lady who gave us a tour today made us feel extremely uncomfortable and simply harassed. She kept emphasizing what our kid couldn’t do and never actually showed us the area where they Do keep the kids. It’s a pretty safe and dynamic space to ‘gym’. It has almost everything, from pool, sauna and stream, locker rooms, (almost) all kinds of equipment, cardio room, courts (many), outdoor… it does get busy. Maybe plan to avoid the busiest time of day.
