They need to be more welcoming, polite, and treat different cultures and ethnicities better than they do. I pay for a family membership and My family does NOT feel welcome when they go here they leave and go to the different Y’s around the state of MO or KS, because they treat them poorly here. They treat the white people with open arms, but never speak to us and never see if we enjoyed our time there I have seen them offer different services to whites, but say absolutely nothing to us. If your membership is from another town and you are on nation wide don’t go to this YMCA. I’ve been a Y member for over 20 years and was going to this Y because I’m working in the area. They told me today I would have to get a membership at their Y if I wanted to go there since I was going there more than my home Y, even though my daughter uses my membership back home every week.
