Outdated equipment, poor faculty maintenance and upkeep, poor management and overall the Van Wert YMCA has become terribly ran since I was a kid. They don't care about their members or their experiences there. They just care about collecting their overpriced membership fees even when the facility was shut down for the coronavirus. Go ANYWHERE but here.

Your facility sucks. You expect me to pay upwards of 50 dollars a month for pool access then severely restrict the time in which I can swim? When I was a member of the Defiance branch, the pool was open at all times during business hours to adults. Life guards aren't needed for adults who know how to swim. Have me perform a test to show I am capable and sign a waver if you must but this is ridiculous. It isn't worth it.
Love for all that they do for our community and classes/programs are so wonderful for all ages. Their massage therapist is wonderful:)
Thanks to Hugh Kocab and the entire YMCA staff for hosting the students of SYNERGY Learning Center this past Friday. They loved their time in the pool and playing ball in the gym. The staff loved seeing them have so much fun too!!! What a great resource for the Van Wert community!! Mr. Tony Langhals and the Synergy Staff
