I have been going to this YMCA for the past 28 years. I've continued going there because I'm always satisfied with the club. They staff and employees are extremely helpful and available to me and my husband.

If over 45, do not bother to go to SO YMCA in Royal Oak. Their only interest is kids, which is not bad, unless you are over 45. If a Senior, you are an afterthought, if that. If interested in joining an exercise swim class AND over 55, beware!!! Many of their instructors are not qualified, let alone certified. Danger of injury and a threat to personal safety is high. Same goes for lifeguards, with no plans to correct the problem that has been on going for months. Good staff are leaving, or are being fired at rapid rates. It ... read more

Best Fitness Value in Hope Mills – The Hope Mills YMCA has moved to a new location. It is now located at 3910 Ellison St Hope Mills NC which is one block off Main Street opposite of the lake. The new phone number is 910-426-9622. The facility is located in an old cotton Mill and has that New York loft look. It is about 10,000 square feet of the latest cardio and strength equipment, group exercise classes, free nursery and several youth programs.
