A gem of a trail, only a 20 minute easy drive from Wagga Wagga, just off the Olympic Highway. The summit of The Rock can be accessed via a loop, or out and back using the same route. The Yerong Trail is 2.9km to the summit , one way, as is the Yugay Trail. The Yerong Trail is a less rugged trail. The Yugay Trail has some very steep sections early in the ascent from the carpark, and is the route used to reach the Towers (peregrine falcon breeding area). Great place to visit for a view, the walk was brutal at some points but very much worth it.
Great place to visit for a view, the walk was brutal at some points but very much worth it.
Mostly easy walk. Toilets at car park. Gets steep and rocky towards the end.
