After a free trial, I was billed over $100. I called in and explained that I hadn't realized the trial converted to paid ads, but I agreed to cover that initial $100 as long as the campaign was cancelled immediately. I followed their cancellation instructions and was assured the ads were stopped. A week later, another charge for over $200 hit my account. For months I have been getting nonstop phone calls about paying to put my business at the top of the list. I have said I was not interested in paying money to be moved to the top and asked to have a note put on my file to not be contacted anymore. On June 30th, 2026 I got a call again. I stated again that I had requested to have a note on my file saying I would not like to be contacted. A warning to fellow small business owners about Yelp advertising I own RMI Works, a contracting business with 55 years behind it. I'm posting this so other small business owners don't get caught the way I did. A Yelp sales rep named Jonathan called me and pitched a deal: a $900 free first-month trial, and if it produced results, I'd continue.
