The Yellowstone Hot Springs in Gardiner is a wonderful, beautiful campground. One of my favorites. Also, if you don't want to pay $15 to go in the developed pools, there's some run off that goes into the Yellowstone River right by the pavillion in the campground that you can soak in for free. Might be a little murky, but its warm and sufficient. Also, I set up camp and then floated down the river back to my campsite, which I would highly reccomend. Elk walking around campground, big mountains on both sides. Amazing.
Tent camping depends on site you get. The ones by the road, particularly 6 & 7, are exposed & noisy/dusty from all of the traffic from the hot springs. There are no fire rings or picnic tables at these sites. Most of the rest have them. There's only porta potties - no trash or water available. I'd only stay here of I had a site by the river. Not a very good camping experience. Okay for a base for day trips.
