Something needs to change to make the dysfunctional appointment booking process work. Booking a same-day appointment over the phone results in frustration and stress EVERY time: calling for 5 minutes at 8.05am, finally getting through only to hear "We have no appointments left. If your kid is not getting better, take them to the emergency". This is not a solution when an ordinary doctor appointment is needed! Why is it so hard to implement an online booking system for patients?
Everything positive about this place from employees to the medical doctors. Thank you for everything you do for us your patients.
Came in at 8:30am and was berated by a nurse named Shalyn who said I should have been there at 8:05am, and that I need to see a doctor from their clinic. Refused to even book me an appointment with their own doctor. Complete disregard for patients needs. GNWT needs to stop DEI hiring.
Worst service they say on google closing at 4:30 however I reached there at 3:15 and the guy said sorry they just got last appointment and when I said make my appointment too then he said no it’s not like that you just have to come in and started giving explanations. Literally I was the only one there and he refused the service. Basically they want to have 1.5 hour good break and don’t want to work. He didn’t even understand my situation. He hadn’t any logic and solid reason to refuse service. Worst healthcare.
Yellowknife’s primary care is so broken you can’t even call to make an appointment. The system’s on life support, and worse yet, it’s a Full Code—everyone’s ready for it to die so we can replace it with something better. This is exactly why the ER is constantly flooded with patients.
